Chapter 10: Using SID 3.1 Lite
What it does
This is a Gamesave package that launches the UnleashX dashboard, and doesn’t Softmod your Xbox.
The idea behind this is to have an unmodded MS Dash (meaning no Softmod exists on the Xbox), and still be able to access a dashboard plus anything else stored on the HDD.
How to Install SID 3.1 Lite
This can be a little bit lengthy, but not too hard.
- Install SID 3.1 Final like normal, and set up your HDD with all the apps, emulators etc that you want on there.
- Once this is done, use the Auto-Installer Deluxe 3 disc to Format your C Drive, and install the MS Dash again. Whilst using the disc still, go to the Advanced Options section and choose to install SID 3.1 Lite. Once you select that it you will give you an option to install it to a memory card or HDD, install it to your HDD.
- Reboot your Xbox.
You’ll notice after this that the normal MS Dash will only appear, and the Xbox is no longer softmodded. But, once you boot the Gamesave, you will have a dashboard and all your programs ready and waiting.
